We've been to plenty of local weddings with great bartenders. But at private events, we kept noticing a quality gap. At one housewarming, the bartenders didn't know how to make a French 75 — which was the featured drink of the night. At another, they showed up without a bottle opener.

On the drive home from one of those parties, we started talking. Most Asheville bartending services lean heavy on weddings — for good reason, weddings pay well — but private events get treated as the side hustle. Birthdays, showers, holiday parties, Friendsgivings, Airbnb weekends — the parties most of us actually throw — kept getting the B-team or a $600 minimum quote that meant most people just didn't book a bartender at all.

Between us, we've bartended weddings, worked plenty of service-industry hours, and hosted and attended enough private events to know exactly what hosts actually need. So we decided to fill the gap.
